Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains which data is processed when you use Get Abs.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data is:
Neo Schulz
Schleusenstraße 4 C
16225 Eberswalde
Germany
neo.schulz@icloud.com
2. Data Processed by the App
Get Abs is a fitness app for personalized workout planning, exercise guidance, progress tracking and optional AI-supported abs scans.
- Onboarding data such as name, age, sex, height, weight, training goal, fitness level, training frequency, training location, available equipment and possible limitations.
- Workout data such as planned sessions, completed workouts, progress, XP, training days and streaks.
- Optional scan data such as selected photo, score, estimated body-fat range, abs-area scores and AI-generated summary.
- App settings such as language, notification preferences and reminder times.
- Subscription and purchase status through the Apple App Store, where needed to unlock, restore and manage paid features.
3. AI Abs Scan and Photos
If you use the optional AI scan, the photo you choose or take is processed to create an assessment of your visible progress. The photo is downscaled for the analysis and sent once to the AI provider OpenAI. The result is a fitness-oriented estimate, not a medical diagnosis and not an exact body-fat measurement.
A downscaled scan photo and the scan result may be stored locally on your device so you can review your progress later.
4. Purposes of Processing
- Creating a personalized workout plan.
- Displaying and running workouts.
- Saving your progress on your device.
- Providing optional reminders and push notifications.
- Running optional AI-supported scans.
- Managing subscriptions and purchases through Apple.
- Responding to support requests.
5. Legal Bases
Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for providing the app functions, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where you give consent, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for legitimate interests in operating, securing and supporting the app, and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR where legal obligations apply.
Health-related information or photos are processed only when you voluntarily provide them and use the relevant feature.
6. Local Storage
Most app data is stored directly on your device. This includes your profile, workout history, scan results, locally saved scan photos and app settings. If you delete the app, locally stored data may be deleted unless it is retained by iOS backups or a future sync feature.
7. External Services
Subscriptions, purchases, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes payment and account data under its own terms and privacy rules.
For optional AI scans, the selected photo may be sent to OpenAI so that an assessment can be generated.
8. International Transfers
External providers such as Apple or OpenAI may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where legally required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards or other permitted transfer mechanisms.
9. Notifications
Get Abs can remind you about training days, unfinished workouts, weekly planning or new scans if you allow notifications. Notifications are optional and can be disabled in the app or in iOS settings.
10. Website
This website is a static information website. It does not set its own tracking cookies and does not contain contact forms. When you visit the website, technically necessary server data may be processed by the hosting provider, such as IP address, date, time, requested file and browser information.
11. Retention
Data is stored only for as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. Locally stored app data can be removed in the app or by deleting the app, as far as iOS allows. Support e-mails may be retained for the time needed to answer and document the request.
12. Your Rights
Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
13. Contact
